Why play the Starborn build
Starborn powers add damage, crowd control and defense on top of any build, and they get stronger every NG+ cycle.
The Free Lanes update lets you upgrade powers with Quantum Essence. Destroying Starborn ships also rewards it, so powers now scale properly into the endgame.

Skill order, level by level

Powers & gear

Early, mid and late game checklist
First run (before NG+)
- Visit every temple you find during the main story to collect powers early.
- Put points into Wellness and Pain Tolerance. Powers do not protect you yet.

NG+ 1–3

Endgame NG+
